The art work of figurative realistic painting has a wide social foundation and acceptance group in the history of painting development,and its form basically appears in the audience’s vision in the form of frame painting,so in the study of painting theory and creative exploration,it is usually recognized and understood as a visual space art.For example,when we comment on a painting,the first consideration is the structural form of the picture and the factors in the two-dimensional plane space,such as shape,line,color,etc.,while the temporal problem involving the spatial form of painting is relatively less discussed.This thesis mainly takes Vermeer’s painting as a case study and analyzes the time in painting Question.Vermeer is a 17th-century dutch artist whose paintings are famous for depicting the theme of the present and pure artistic realism.The pictures show the true nature of real life and impress every appreciator with their simple breath of life,their unique means of expression and poetic artistic conception.However,the study of Vermeer’s painting is more about its picture form language and painting style,and rarely involves the relationship and analysis between its concept of time in the process of painting and painting creation.Because Vermeer is not only drawing specific objects,but also drawing his own consciousness of objects.Just This creative process,this artist’s consciousness,time,phenomenon together to describe,in the picture constantly produced in the time consciousness and heidegger’s three characteristics of the unity of time,that is,in the present,in the future,the existence of "when" has the same work,so the author proposed that vermeer’s painting is a time characteristic art.This article uses the literature analysis method.the art image analysis method,and the case analysis method as the main research methods.The argumentation of the article is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter,the concept of time and time is expounded,and the purpose and significance of the relationship between Vimir painting and time are explored.In the second chapter,by summarizing the life of the artist Vermeer and the background of the times,we can trace the reasons for his forgetting and the complicated process of his reappearance in the audience’s view.The third chapter,combined with the understanding and research of the first twochapters,is divided into two parts to describe the temporal expression in Vermeer’s painting.The first part is the moment of the greatest effect of Vermeer’s typical selection of the theme of painting;the second part is the embodiment of time in the form of Vermeer’s painting composition: the time condensation of a single image rich in gestation moment in a single picture and the instantaneous time juxtaposition of multiple images.The fourth chapter is the artistic influence and significance of Vermeer’s painting time.At the end of the thesis,we discuss the possibility of dialogue in the time and philosophy of Vermeer’s painting,which is of value and significance.The author thinks that the temporal nature in Vermeer’s painting is above the concept of "instant" described by physical time,which embodies an implicit and extensive inner time cognition.The connection between the temporal nature of his paintings and the temporal sense of philosophy implies the unity of the past,present and future,which once was with the present that will be there.
