Blended homework refers to online homework,such as aplications of Yi Qi Xiao Xue and “Wechat”,traditional homework and some innovative homework,such as mind map and interviews,combined their advantages in order to improve students’ ability and teaching effects.According to the development of society and the changes of the times,it has become an important research topic to cultivate talents with the future society development and cultivate the students’ key competencies.At the same time,great changes have taken place in teaching methods and learning methods.Blended homework are also one of the future trends.According to the theory of key competencies,constructivism theory and primary teaching principle,this study conducted a two-semester "An action research on the elementary key competencies-Based English blended homework" through questionnaire survey and interview in a primary school in haigang district of qinhuangdao city,Hebei province.Through understanding the current situation of English homework in primary schools,students have a relatively good attitude towards English homework,They can complete the homework well,and they are satisfied with the amount of English homework relatively.However,in terms of homework content,the content about improving students key competencies in English subjects is relatively lacking,and the type of homework is relatively single,which is not conducive to the overall goal of cultivating students’ key competencies in modern society.Therefore,according to the problems,the action research on the elementary key competencies-Based English blended homework is carried out.Specifically,it focuses on the following research questions: Firstly,what is the current situation of English homework in primary schools? Secondly,How to implement the primary school English blended homework based on key competencies? Thirdly,what roles does the blended homework play in cultivating students’ key competencies?The results of the study show that the blended primary English homework have improved students’ ability of listening,speaking,reading,writing and comprehensive language using.They have also promoted students’ pre-study habits,learning methods,and information research.It also promotes students’ understanding of cultural knowledge and differences between Chinese and foreign cultures.It also plays a part in solving problems,thinking critically and innovatively.
