Action Research On The Primary School English Homework Design Based On The Key Competencies

The core literacy of English majors is mainly reflected in four aspects:language ability,thinking character,cultural character and learning ability.In English teaching,English homework is an indispensable part of teaching,and it is the continuation and feedback of students learning and using English.It can show the thinking and language perception process of students' English learning.Therefore,it is necessary to design core literacy-based English homework for elementary school students.In this study,the "PEP Primary School English(People's Education Edition)Grade 5 textbook was used to conduct a three-month action study for students in the fifth grade.In order to explore how to design English homework properly for primary school students based on core literacy,so as to improve their language ability,thinking character,cultural character,and learning ability,this study uses literature methods,questionnaires,interviews and other methods to make a research about one primary school.The current situation of the English homework content of the fifth grade primary school students,combined with the content of the course and the core literacy requirements of the English subject,design the primary school English homework,arrange the English homework for the fifth grade students,and improve the core literacy of the students' English subjects through the action research,Through two period of action research,we find that:First,the primary school English homework based on core literacy design is conducive to enriching the core literacy of primary school students' English subjects.Secondly,it is more beneficial to complete practical or innovative homework in the form of group cooperation in the classroom to improve students' language ability and thinking character.Third,the assignments that are highly correlated with the next-day English class or can be displayed in the lesson,which can improve the learning ability of students.
