The latest English curriculum standard "Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)" requires students to complete the writing and modification of small compositions independently at the end of the ninth grade of compulsory education,and to help each other complete the learning tasks.The score of English composition scores in the middle school entrance examination is relatively high,which is also the difficulty of English classroom teaching.It is not easy to improve students' writing ability in a short time.Therefore,finding a practical and effective teaching method is a very necessary task.This study is guided by SPOC blended teaching mode under the guidance of constructivism learning theory.It mainly discusses the following two aspects: 1.What difficulties and shortcomings do junior high school students have in English writing? 2.Can the SPOC blended teaching mode improve the teaching and learning of teachers' English writing?Taking the students of a class in the second grade of a middle school in Xiangxiang City(56 students)as the research object,the comparative teaching research was carried out in the form of combination of test and questionnaire survey.According to the pre-study questionnaire,the students' difficulties and needs in English writing are analyzed.According to the existing mode of SPOC blended teaching,the SPOC blended English writing teaching mode is designed.Taking the writing performance of a class in the traditional teaching mode as a comparison,and comparing with the writing performance of the SPOC blended teaching mode,through the semester teaching research to explore the effect of the SPOC blended teaching mode in junior high school English writing,the main data Sources include pre-study and post-study questionnaires,as well as writing test scores before and after the study.Based on data analysis,the main findings of this study are as follows: 1.Pre-study questionnaires and test results show that most students lack interest in writing and are afraid of writing.Most students have too little vocabulary in writing,content is interfered by Chinese thinking,and it is difficult to distinguish between different genre writing methods.Most students do not understand cooperative writing and learning,and self-learning is less efficient,but most students are eager to improve their English writing skills.2.According to the results of the post-study questionnaire survey and the results of the pre-test data,the SPOC blended teaching model can stimulate students' interest,and the students' writing attitude,writing confidence,writing habits and writing ability have been improved.The SPOC blended teaching mode is effective in English writing teaching.Based on the above findings,this study puts forward some tentative suggestions on how to improve students' English writing ability and interest.He hopes to give some inspiration to English teachers who deeply study the relationship between students' difficulties and needs and writing teaching methods,and based on this,for primary and secondary school teachers.There are some reasonable suggestions for conducting SPOC blended English writing teaching.
