A Study Of The Syntactic Prosody In Ten Legends Of Li Yu

Li Yu is a famous theatre theorist in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties,and the academic circles have always tended to study his theory of drama.As a theatrical theorist,Li Yu pays great attention to the rhythm of the opera,which is also worth discussing.Li Yu's representative work,Ten Legends of Li Weng,is rich in rhyme and beautiful.As far as its rhythm is concerned,it has important research value.This paper mainly analyses the rhythm of Li Weng Legend from four aspects:rhythm,level,rhyme and antithesis.“ Sentence rhythm” analyses the rhythm inside and outside sentences.In fact,the rhythm inside sentences is the rhythm of every word and sentence.The rhythm outside sentences is the combination and rhythm trend of every word and sentence;The “sentence pattern flat” analyses the flat type of every word and sentence,and the flat pattern of every word and sentence has both rhythmic sentences and abundant non-rhythmic sentences;The “sentence pattern rhythm example” first analyses the rhythm situation of ten kinds of songs,including The number of rhymes used in each part,the problem of using them alone and each other,the flat-tone rhyme pattern and the phenomenon of overlap are analyzed.Then,,the rhyme examples of ten kinds of songs are mainly analyzed from three aspects:the position of rhyme feet,the distance between rhyme feet and the number of sentences used in a chapter.The “sentence pattern antithesis” analyses some types of antithesis.From the perspective of sentence pattern,antithesis has two,three,four and many sentences antithesis.And so on,combined with the concrete corpus of ten kinds of songs,it is analyzed and categorized.Through the study of ten legendary rhythms,the author finds that the rhythms of the verses are varied,the types of flat tones and opposites are rich,the rhythms are flexible to use,and the beauty of the rhythm of Li Yu's verses is more appreciated.He author's study on the rhythm of Liyuchuanqi's sentence also provides some reference value for the study of Li Yu's drama theory or the study of rhythm.
