The Dissemination Of Charles Lamb's Essays In Modern China

At the beginning of the establishment of new literature in China in the early 20 th century,foreign literature represented by British prose began to spread in China and had a profound influence on the establishment of new Chinese literature after the May Fourth Movement.Charles Lamb is the most representative prose writer in the UK,and his essay writing has received literary evaluations by the number of readers who can read English originals directly or appreciate Lamb prose by means of translations,has enabled Lamb essays to spread in modern China.This thesis uses the relevant theories and methods of communication,through the analysis of the motivation,the path,the method and the effect of communication of Lamb's essays into modern China,embodying the enlightenment of Lamb's essays on Chinese vernacular prose writing and Chinese vernacular prose theory.
