Errors in language acquisition will vary according to the native language background of learners, thus studying on learners with different language background will promote the development of Chinese teaching for foreigners.Due to the current lack of research on the Chinese phonological acquisition of Malaysian students, this study has chosen 40 Malaysian students whose native language is Malay language as research object. The Chinese phonological acquisition condition of Malay students would analyze statically and dynamically through relevant phonetic experiments,in order to find out the Chinese vowel acquisition characteristics of Malay learners.Through the investigation of vowel pattern, accuracy and dispersion test,we have found out that:1.In the progress of acquiring Chinese vowels, most of the Chinese vowels produced by the Malay learners do not progress consistently in a straight line, which reflects the dynamic feature of interlanguage.2.The overall vowel pattern of the Malay learners will gradually expand outwards to form a vowel pattern that is similar to that of Chinese native speakers, which reflects that the learners' interlanguage will develop and change according to the improvement of their second language level.3.The construction of the Malay learners in Chinese interlanguage system is mainly affected by the similarity and universality of the language, and the vowel acquisition sequence of Malay learners is / a?i ?u / > /y/ > /?/ > /???/.In terms of new vowels, the acquisition of /???/ vowels are slower than /y/ vowels, indicating that the acquisition of new vowels will be affected by the markedness feature of the language, and the unmarked vowels are acquired earlier than the marked vowels. The contrastive analysis hypothesis, markedness theory and the speech learning model are being verified and revised. This study summarizes the acquisition condition of Chinese first-level vowels by Malaysian Malay learners through interlanguage theory, comparative analysis theory, markedness theory and speech learning model.Besides that, the vowel characteristic and development trends of Chinese interlanguage system in Malay learners from the very beginning to the advanced stage are also being summarized through the method of experimental phonetics. Therefore,as compared with the traditional error analysis, this study is characterized by using the methodology of acoustic sound pattern to conduct a relatively comprehensive study of the vowel acquisition condition of the group of Malay, which make a contribution to typology research and fill the gap in the study of Chinese phonological acquisition of Malaysian learners.
