The essay was one of the most prestigious literature in the Six Dynasties literature, especially the sort of essay named “Xuanyanmingli” in Wei and Jin dynasty, which is famous among scholars of all ages. The academic community has fully researched the mutual infiltration of the essay and mainstream stylistics(such as Fu,epistle,Zhuan and Zhu style,etc.).In view of this, the author intends to investigate comprehensively on the writting history, era background, cultural trends, stylistic features and functions of the above types of stylistics.Besides, the author attempts to clarify the causes, methods, manifestations and influences of the mutual infiltration between essay and other five styles. As much as possible to restore the complete course of the essay its creation to development,to its maturity and evolution. The research is divided into three parts. The first part is the study of the interpenetration of Paixie and the essay. From the Late Han Dynasty to the Wei and Jin dynasties, the semantic commonality of "Paixie" and "Qingtan" builted a channel for the mutual infiltration of the two styles. The "Essay with Paixie factors" formed under the infiltration of the two styles has its own characteristics. While reasoning,it is reasonable to incorporate humorous colors, which makes the calm rational style contrast with moderate comedy colors, and strengthens the tension of the main purpose of the article. The second part is the research on the mutual infiltration of Song style,Zan style and essay. The stylistic function of Zan style was originally a supplementary explanation, but the "Shishuzan"("Lunzan","Ping")formed under the influence of the essay judged history with reasoning, which fully demonstrated the author's review awareness. In addition, the Zan style of judging characters emerged during the Six Dynasties was also influenced by the essay of judging characters. The mutual infiltration of Song style and essay is mainly reflected in the emergence of a series of works on the preaching of mysterious and Buddhism. They are full of logic and rationality, which is obviously different from the classic Song style. The third part is the study of the mutual infiltration of Ming style,Zhen style and essay. As a highly practical stylistic style,Ming style gradually departed from the actual objects in the process of infiltration with the essay. It could be used to talk about mysterious,Buddhism, and life principles. It was no longer just a tool for conveying morality and value judgments, but also a carrier of abstract thinking.Zhen style also had new changes in the process of mutual infiltration with essay.First, the length of Zhen style in the Six Dynasties had increased significantly;second, the meticulous views made Zhen style of the Six Dynasties more euphemistic;third, the precepts of some private ethics had weakened, and most of them had became a vehicle for preaching a certain opinion or reason.Regarding some discoveries that are not much enough to be chapters, but still meaningful, such as the mutual infiltration between Yi style,Diaowen style, this part will be discussed in the remainder of the paper. In addition, the phenomenon of mutual infiltration of the essay did not end in the Six Dynasties, and its influence continued to the Tang and Song Dynasties. The author will also put it into the rest of the paper for a brief explanation.
