The Auschwitz in the 20 th century not only brought great traumas to the Jewish people, the Germans and even the entire human race, but also woke up the alarm bells for us,because both the rational civilization and the moral ethics which were always proud by mankind and lost their binding force on the "human being" in this event.Based on this,Primo Levi took part in the reflection of Auschwitz in the form of literary writing. On the basis of the analysis of how Auschwitz was transformed into literary material, this paper analyzes how Levi began his literary creation based on Auschwitz's experience, and how Levi constructed his philosophy of moral revolt.During Auschwitz, many prisoners had begun to document their experiences in Auschwitz, but much of the work had been done after Auschwitz, especially those which are from the philosophical, political, moral and other aspects of reflection on Auschwitz. The conscious criticism of literature begins with the construction of trauma literature theory.Witness literature not only draws the emphasis of trauma literature on traumatic events, but also emphasizes from the personal experience of the participants in the traumatic events. It is necessary to bear the responsibility of witnesses to testify to the victims of the Auschwitz incident according to their national, human and future responsibilities. This paper expounds Levi's "gray zone" in the chaotic region of good and evil, morality and immorality in Auschwitz, driven by the responsibility of the survivors "witness ",which leads to his reflection on the relationship among people, the harshness of human nature, and his exploration of the way of moral redemption for the vulnerable prisoners in the extreme environment of the concentration camp. After examining the limits of rational philosophy and pure morality,Levi proposed that in the extreme environment, the weak must take the "guilt" as the core of morality to restrain their own actions,to restrict their own judgment and to emphasize that the post-Auschwitz individual must assume moral responsibility. In conclusion, the starting point of Levy's reflection on his writings is the intellectual's sense of responsibility and a human being. He hopes to remember Auschwitz's history through literature,to show readers the crimes of the victims, and more importantly,to recognize that no one is innocent in this case, all are responsible. There's no doubt that the moral trial is the most powerful and soul-penetrating besides law.
