| The masterpiece Die Klavierspielerin published by Austrian writer Elfriede Jelinek in 1983 is a recognized work full of musical elements,and the musical narrative has attracted extensive attention from domestic and foreign researchers.This paper will attempt to explore the text of Die Klavierspielerin from the perspective of musical narrative,focusing on analyzing the reasons for the formation of musical narrative,the interweaving relationship between music and emotion in the content,and the alignment of narrative and music in form.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,the principal part and conclusion.The introduction mainly summarizes the research status of Elfriede Jelinek’s Die Klavierspielerin,and introduces the research significance,ideas and research methods of this paper.The principal part of the thesis is divided into three parts.On the basis of the relationship between music and literature,chapter one explores the theoretical development and characteristics of musical narrative.Starting from the musicality of literature and the literary nature of music,drawing on the relevant theories of musical narrative,and then exploring the musical characteristics of the narrative in Die Klavierspielerin,digging deeply into the aesthetic characteristics of the musicality in the novel under the influence of the artistic tradition and the writer’s own experience.Chapter two focuses on the intertwined relationship between emotion and music as the notes flow in the novel,that is,the protagonist’s subtle emotions in the main melody of maternal love that are both attached and obedient,but also try to resist and escape,in the love variation that breaks the normal life,the complex emotions that refuse to change the status quo but boldly accept and indulge in love,and in the face of the temptation of the music itself,the protagonist showed the dual emotions of following the music tradition,but finally finding belonging and self-identification in the music world.By exploring the emotional imagination in three different states,it shows the close relationship between the movement of emotional characteristics and the generation of sustenance in music.Chapter three focuses on the cyclic rhythm of Die Klavierspielerin.As the main structural feature of the novel,it embodies the counterpoint fusion of narrative form and music.The author attempts to use the multiple switching of narrative perspectives,the repeated cycles of imagery and the composition of music-like musical structures to form differences and contrasts in the cyclic narrative,to create the effect of advancement and change,and to reflect the musical artistic conception hidden in the work.Finally,the conclusion is a brief summary of the content of the paper.With reference to musical narrative works such as Jean-Christophe,it further explains the unique value of the unique musical narrative of Die Klavierspielerin in digging the negative and dark aspects of human nature,as well as its courage to face reality in the work and the sense of responsibility of social criticism. |
