| As a successful narrative musical,the musical "Les Miserables" fully invokes various artistic means to participate in the narrative:focusing on drama,music,dance beauty,and performance are gradually laid out around the main line of the drama.The music adopts single line,parallel,and counterpoint narrative methods to promote the narrative rhythm to varying degrees.Dance beauty,performance,and other aspects coordinate and cooperate with the musical language to jointly narrate the story and shape the character image,These artistic elements play a crucial artistic function in both the stage and film versions of musical dramas.This thesis studies the strategies and characteristics of musical narrative theory in the musical "Les Miserables",and comprehensively explores the narrative construction of the play from "text" to "stage",with a view to providing useful reference for future related research and creative practice.The overall content is divided into three chapters to elaborate:The first chapter basically clarifies the theoretical development thread from narration to music narration,and discusses the narrative context and methodology of the play;The second chapter describes the narrative methods of the play,which are "textual narration" and "stage narration",respectively.The former mainly includes the script and music score,and has a two-dimensional nature.The latter is a more intuitive and three-dimensional exposition of the former.It has a three-dimensional nature due to the integration of dance beauty design,actors’ narrative performance,and modern technical means,and continues and expands the life of textual narration;The third chapter compares the narrative differences between the original novel and the musical,and reveals the humanitarianism and epic spirit embodied therein.Finally,the success of the musical"Les Miserables" is reflected and summarized. |
