On Ethnic Narratives In Spike Lee’s Movies

In recent years,black movies have entered our field one after another,and have once again attracted people’s attention and heated discussions.Black films have a long history and undergo a transformation from genre to diversification in the long development process.Since the beginning of the 20 th century,Hollywood in the United States has always distorted,typed,and marginalized the image of black people.Black American filmmakers have been on the big screen for a long time without a voice.The development of black film for more than a century is the image characterization of its long and tortuous path to strive for racial equality.Generations of black filmmakers are committed to the subjective construction of black images on the film screen,and strive to practice the black film art of ethnic narrative.creation.Black film is a screen development of the original sin of American history and modern ethnic issues.Ethnic narrative is a narrative material and cinematic imagination that calls for national equality.Black film based on ethnic naming determines its expression of racism and racial discrimination.Political aspirations and sense of mission confrontational and corrective discourse.As a successful example of hip-hop rap movies in the early 1980 s,Spike Lee has continued to develop into a well-known black director in the United States today.From the standpoint of African-Americans,Spike Lee has continued to create ethnic narrative art.Innovation and hard work,his maverick creative style shows his black consciousness,independent spirit and self-expression.The national sentiment and independence complex infiltrated in the film creation process added more emotional expression to his ethnic narrative art.Spike Lee has been concerned by the film industry for his sharp and frank image expression,and is known as "The most influential black director in contemporary America." This article examines Spike Lee’s film creation from the perspective of ethnic narrative research,researches the ethnic position and narrative material of his film creation based on ethnic narrative,and uses ethnic narrative as the research entry point for his film The ethnicexpression of the work is interpreted in text,and the interpretation and screen presentation of African nationalism by Spike Lee are analyzed from the perspective of ethnic narrative research.This article explores the ethnic narrative art of Spike Lee in the context of black film.It mainly focuses on the analysis of the ethnic narrative art in Spike Lee’s films from the perspective of the content and form of the ethnic narrative.And discussed the ethnic standpoint and narrative point of view in Spike Lee’s films and the aesthetics of sound and image in the perspective of ethnic narrative.Finally,this article further summarizes the ethnic narrative features and image styles in Spike Lee’s films,and explores and demonstrates the pioneering contributions of Spike Lee as a black director to the creation and development of black films and ethnic narratives.
