Biomedia Research In The Context Of New Media

In contemporary art,the combination of art and science and technology has become an unavoidable trend.In the new media environment,artists use biological form as the medium to carry out artistic creation,and all sectors of society have different opinions on this kind of artistic expression.Nowadays,the expression of art is not only limited to a single form and artistic noumenon,the works of art can not be separated from the bearing of the media and the expression of ideas,the media occupies an important role in artistic expression.In the 21 century,the concern and re-examination of social reality,manpower and nature,as well as "life",has become a hot topic of contemporary art,as well as an important source of creation for artists.The artistic expression form with biology as the medium provides more possibilities and diversified expansion space for the artistic creation under the new media environment.The main purpose of this paper is to think about the works of art with biology as the medium in the new media environment,and to reflect on its practical significance,as well as to re-recognize and examine the traditional "life" knowledge structure.The full text is composed of five chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces the importance of media in art,the origin of biological media as a new media form of artistic creation and the definition of the author from a historical point of view,it also explains the reasons for the emergence of biological vector in contemporary art and the evolutionary relationship between human behavior and living things.The second chapter mainly discusses the symbiotic phenomenon in the biological world and the conceptual problems of "life,survival and growth" implied by biological vector,and puts forward the design concept of "growable".The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the cases of the application of biological vector in different disciplines or fields,discusses the artists' new cognitive style of life knowledge structure and the diversified presentation of biological vector,and reflects the interdisciplinary nature of works of art with biology as the medium.The fourth chapter mainly summarizes the field of "post-life" involved in biological vector,and some controversial issues caused by the new artistic media of biological vector in the process of artistic creation,as well as the moral and ethical dilemmas encountered.Finally,the future development of biological vector as an art form is prospected.
