Fan culture originated from youth subculture and is a branch of popular culture. For decades, with the gradual enrichment of audio-visual media and the increasing attention paid by the public to the pursuit of spiritual life,star-chasing behavior has become increasingly common and universal, thus fan culture has also developed rapidly and flourished. Now fan culture has jumped out of the "subculture" category and became the components of popular culture. The emergence and popularization of new media has become a benefit to the development of fan culture.Fans have always been active users of new media. On the one hand, the new media does help to fans' star-chasing behavior, which is free of time lag and barrier-free communication. On the other hand, fans have become dependent on the use of new media, and star-chasing has gradually developed into the abnormal value form of "buying without restraint" and crazily "increasing data ranking" for their idols. Therefore, the development of fan culture in the context of new media shows some new characteristics of the pre-internet era, such as industrialization,data-driven,cooperation and generalization. The rapid development and even "wild growth" of contemporary fan culture has brought about some practical problems.Fans continue to seek expansion of their power and always have conflict with the surrounding environment in the process of their development. So it`s very normal to see the battle, out of the fandom, controlling comments inside the fan group and the conflicts between fans and non-fans,stars,platforms and so on that are constant and full of contradictions out side the fan group. The fan culture has shown more and more tense relations and intense conflicts as a whole. The traditional fan culture research usually done from the perspective of fans personal identity, fan community construction and fans consumer behavior,or on a case study of thesingle fan group,,but thees perspectives have difficulty to explain the power conflict phenomenon, therefore this paper based on the perspective to explore the power/conflict of fan culture phenomenon. In this paper, fan culture is divided into internal and external parts, respectively from two dimensions to explore the power of fan culture and confrontation. In the internal parts,"fans" and "fandom" form the core of the fan culture, and in the external parts,it is a field for fans to communicate with the environment. Therefore, the research of this paper focuses on the stratification, division of labor, classification phenomenon and the conflict and cooperation among fans and fan communities internally, and the power interaction between fans and non-fans,media,platforms,stars and scholars from a macro perspective externally. In this paper, the research focuses on the relationship between power and fight in fan culture, defining the concept of fan power, clarifying the fan power relations and understanding the process of the power and confrontation, taking a rational view of power and fight phenomenon in fan culture, these have realistic significance for a deeper understanding of fan culture, guiding fans to follow stars rationally and helping fan group out of "stigmatized" reputation. In this paper, the method of research is network ethnography, which is commonly used in cultural studies. It is used to obtain research data through long-term observation of specific groups. In the research, the author interviewed some fans, and took the interview content as the expansion of the research perspective and the supplement of the network ethnography.Because of the discussion scope of fan culture is too broad and it can be easily generalized,so some key case analysis is added in the discussion,in order to give consideration both to the breadth of macro narrative and to the depth of detailed narrative, and make a deep description of the power confrontation phenomenon of fan culture in the context of new media.
