The Effect Of Parenting Style On Adolescents' Pro-social Behaviors:The Chain Mediating Effect Of Moral Identity And Moral Elevation

Parenting style,moral identity and moral elevation are important factors that can not be ignored in the adolescents' pro-social behavior.At the same time,parenting style is closely related to the formation of moral identity and moral elevation.Therefore,moral identity and moral elevation may play a chain mediating role between parenting style and prosocial behavior.In this study,800 junior high school students were asked to achieve the parenting style scale,adolescent prosocial behavior scale,moral identity scale and moral elevation scale in a private middle school in Guiyang through convenient sampling.SPSS 24.0 was used for descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis of main variables.Mplus 8.2 was used to test the mediating effect of moral identity and moral elevation between parenting style and pro-social behavior.The results showed that parental refusal was negatively correlated with moral identity,sense of moral elevation and prosocial behavior;parental emotional warmth was positively correlated with moral identity,moral elevation and prosocial behavior;parental over-protection was negatively correlated with moral identity and moral elevation;moral identity and prosocial behavior were negatively correlated with parental over-protection.Behavior was significantly positively correlated;moral elevation and prosocial behavior were significantly positively correlated;moral identity and moral promotion were significantly positively correlated.Moral identity and moral elevation play a completely mediating role in the influence of parents' refusal on prosocial behavior.Moral identity and moral elevation play a partly mediating role in the influence of parents' emotional warmth on prosocial behavior.Parenting styles directly or indirectly affect adolescents' pro-social behavior,while moral identity and moral elevation play an important role in the relationship between parenting styles and pro-social behavior.Therefore,in the future,we should attach importance to family education as well as strengthen the moral education of teenagers.
