Research On The Role Modeling Of "Huamulan" In Disney Animated Movie

The Disney animated film Mulan is the first classic work themed by Chinese story in Disney history.Mulan is adapted from the Chinese folk Yuefu poem The Ballad of Mulan,which combines the oriental story with the Western culture successfully.It can be regarded as one of the classic works with the application of Chinese theme stories and Chinese elements.Due to the unique and successful modeling of Mulan,The thesis will take the role of the Disney animated film Mulan as the research object,starting from the role modeling,to analyze the artistic characteristics and expression techniques of animated characters.Meanwhile,it will also discuss the methods,strategies,common laws and performance skills of Role Modeling.The main body of this thesis will be divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the background,significance,research status at home and abroad,as well as the main research methods;The second chapter discusses the artistic characteristics of the role Huamulan in the Disney animated film.It first analyzes the artistic performance,and then concludes the character characteristics of Huamulan.Fianlly,this chapter ends with the analysis of artistic characteristics from four aspects: modeling style,personality extraversion,color expression and national culture;The third chapter mainly interprets the character performance of Huamulan through the role modeling,action design and character musical charm analyzing.In addition,it analyzes the character's styling performance through character static modeling and dynamic modeling,and respectively analyzes the expression techniques of character modeling from three aspects of character exaggeration and deformation processing,that is,role generalization,induction processing and character action rhythm processing;The last chapter discusses the enlightenment of its role Huamulan on the role modeling of Chinese animated films.Aiming at the present situation of role modeling in Chinese animated films,it proposes many suggestions,including the combination of national character design and contemporary nature,detailed and integrated unity of role modeling,alternation of musical elements and visual arts,etc.The conclusion part summarizes the modeling law of the Mulan role in Disney animated film,pointing out the shortcomings in this study in a dialectical way.In this way,it hopes to provide some reference for the creation practice and related research for Chinese animated film.
