With the globalization of economy and information technology,English is becoming more and more important and becoming the most widely used language in all fields of human life.,and English education is placed in a prominent position.Since the reform and opening up,education has been continuously expanded in China,and education teaching has made remarkable achievements.With the diversification of education and the status quo of constantly renewing education concepts,the reading teaching has met a great challenge,and the old teaching model cannot meet the needs of education teaching.Therefore,it is particularly important to break through the old and bring forth new ideas in the teaching of reading,and find a teaching model that is suitable for students and teachers in line with the characteristics of The Times.Therefore,the author puts forward the teaching model of cooperative learning in English deep reading teaching.This paper is an action study on the application of cooperative learning in high school English deep reading,based on the current situation of English reading teaching.Interviews and questionnaires were conducted for students from a science class and the teachers from Grade 2 of a NO.1 senior high school in Q city.Deeply studying the implementation effect and deficiency of cooperative learning model in English reading teaching in senior high school and by means of questionnaire and interview,the author has a comprehensive understanding of senior high school students' performances in English reading class and interest in English reading.Besides,the author has made observations and records in the English reading teaching class to grasp the actual situation of reading teaching.The action research based on cooperative learning in English reading teaching is carried out,focusing on the students' fear of difficulties in English reading and the teachers' monotonous teaching mode.After three rounds of action research,students gradually develop the habit of English reading.Their reading comprehension ability and their reading skills and methods have been improved.Therefore,their overall English learning quality has been enhanced.At the same time,in the cooperative learning mode,students communicate more with each other,the spirit of cooperation is carried forward,and the students' sound personality is developed.It can be seen that English deep reading teaching based on cooperative learning in high school is effective and suitable for the actual requirements of current English reading teaching.
