In research reading,no matter which language system is very important to study the encoding of lexical location information in reading. In the study of alphabetic writing system, researchers found that pseudo-words with letter position interchange were easier to activate and recognize into the original words than unrelated substitutes, resulting in alphabetic transposition effect. There are similarities and differences between Chinese characters and alphabetic writing systems. However,in the current study of Chinese vocabulary recognition, there are few studies on the processing and coding of Chinese character location information, and the mechanism of lexical location processing in Chinese reading is not clear.Recently, some researchers have used transposition words to explore the encoding of word position information in Chinese reading, and verified that transposition effect also exists in Chinese reading. But is this transposition effect limited to the transformation of peer position? If cross-line transposition can also activate the reader's processing of the original words? Will cross-line transposition cause greater interference in reading and loss of cognitive resources? To solve these problems will help us to further explore the mechanism of eye information acquisition and processing in reading. Therefore, from the perspective of morpheme and whole word location information, this study intends to explore the influence of morpheme and whole word location information on Chinese reading.Based on this, two experiments were designed in this study. In experiment 1,by controlling the upstream and downstream transposition of a single morpheme, the interlaced transposition of a single morpheme in Chinese reading was verified to be similar to the transposition effect.Whether the upstream and downstream transposition of a single morpheme would interfere with reading, and at what stage of lexical processing the transformation of morpheme location information existed. In experiment 2,the effect of the change of the whole word position information on reading was studied by controlling the interlaced transposition of the whole word. What is the difference between the change of whole word position information and that of single morpheme position information on reading?Through the experimental study, the following conclusions can be drawn: Firstly, the interlaced transposition of morphemes and whole words shows similar transposition effect in reading.Secondly, word representation and morpheme representation coexist in reading.Thirdly, the processing of morpheme and whole word location information occurs in the middle and late stages of reading.Fourthly,in the visual range, attention is widely distributed. All words in the visual range are processed simultaneously, not sequentially.
