This paper uses the semantic field theory, and uses the description classification method and comparative research method to describe and analyze the members of the military nouns in the Wei Shu.From the perspective of the semantic field,it compares some military terms in the Song Shu with the synchronic level, explores the differences between the military terms in the North and the South during the North and South Dynasties, and compares them with Zuo Zhuan on the diachronic level, revealing Wei Shu uses different military terms. In this paper,220 military nouns in Wei Shu are divided into five semantic fields,i.e.instrumental category,soldier-general category, military ranks and ranks category, wages category and other categories, and the words of each semantic field are analyzed respectively.Chapter 2-6 describes and analyses the meaning, the number of use cases and the structure of military terms in Wei Shu.Chapter 7-8 compares the differences between military nouns in Wei Shu and Song Shu and Zuo Zhuan, summarizes the characteristics of the nouns in Wei Shu,Song Shu and Zuo Zhuan, and tries to explore the reasons for the different use of military nouns in the three books.Through describing and analyzing the whole military nouns in Wei Shu,we can catch the sight of that the semantic field of the implements are the most abundant words, the orthodox and combined words are absolutely dominant.Comparing the military nouns in Wei Shu and Song Shu,we can find that the members of the semantic fields of the vehicle and ship are significantly different, which is caused by the different vocabulary usage in the North and South of Chinese. In addidation to this, there are also differences in the use of individual words in the other semantic fields of the two books, which are caused by the author's personal wording habits and word relics.Comparing the military nouns in Wei Shu and Zuo Zhuan,it can be found that the number of polysyllabic words in military books in Wei Shu is quite different from that in Zuo Zhuan.Positive and joint polysyllabic words have the absolute full advantage. The levels of growth and decline of words in different semantic fields are different in the two books, and the semantic field of weapons changes most significantly.
