In recent years,the Chinese-language film market has prospered,and among them,military films have sprung up everywhere,and their masterpieces have continued to flourish.While winning the excellent box office results,military films have also played a huge role in rallying the people’s hearts and strengthening national identity.Although based on historical facts and events that have occurred in recent years,as a work of art,military movies can still be regarded as imaginary texts and have the role of a community of ideas.In the past 100 years,the fate of China’s modern history has been bumpy.After several wars,it has finally defended the country’s integrity,achieved national independence,and continuously strengthened its comprehensive national strength.The international influence has grown stronger.These contents are often used by film as a material for constructing national identity,but how the film uses these materials to construct China’s national identity.What kind of law and how it is influenced by this construction method is worth exploring.This study is a textual analysis based on military-themed films.The research on military movies in the new century of China,using statistical analysis,text analysis and deductive inductive analysis,has carried out in-depth research on film texts.According to the semiotic theory of Greimas,the author analyzes the narrative theme of the Chinese military movie in the new century and the characteristics of the hero narrative through the analysis of the narrative structure of the three sample films and movies,and how the film is at the heroic narrative level.Construct national identity.When conducting research around the collective memory narrative.By extracting memory elements,the author analyzes the narrative mode of the sample film to reproduce the collective memory and condense the members of the community,and draws the effect of the collective memory in constructing the national identity.On the basis of the previous analysis,the author analyzes each layer of the three-level symbolic meaning system of the film one by one,and interprets the film from the "physical layer" to the "cultural layer" to the "national level" to complete the construction of national identity from the bottom up.The process of layer meaning.In the conclusion part,the author briefly summarizes the research.According to the three-layer meaning of the film,this paper proposes suggestions for the better communication of the film from the perspective of media content.
