Modern harp is an important and colorful instrument in the symphony orchestra, and it has become an important solo instrument in the modern era.The development and innovation of the harp has brought a vast progress in the advancement of harp performance, and the harp repertoire has also been significantly expanded.A large number of solo works for the harp come from transcribing or arranging other solo or symphonic works for other instruments. In addition to the traditional solo and ensemble works played by the harp, there are also a large number of these transcriptions and arrangements. This paper takes a transcription of The Moldau by Smetana for solo harp as an example, focusing on the uniqueness of harp performance, the similarities and differences between this type of writing and original harp compositions, and addressing the key points and difficulties of pedal, fingering, and musical expression in harp performance,so as to provide a certain reference and guidance for harp arrangements and transcriptions.
