A Study On The Dimensional Translation Of Animal Metaphor In Water Margin

Animal metaphor is a major feature of water margin,which is of great significance to the characterization and thematic expression of the novel.This paper takes the animal metaphors in the water margin as the research object,USES the existing research results for reference,and divides the animal metaphors in the water margin into three categories according to the frequency of the corpus,the characteristics and the law of the corpus,namely,the animal metaphors of walking,the bird metaphors,and the insect metaphors.Through the methods of literature study,induction,descriptive analysis and data statistics,three kinds of animal metaphors were studied.Article through to the "water margin" in the animal metaphor and its dimension of investigation found that in translation analysis,go beast animal metaphor is divided into four aspects,and the mapping,appearance character of mapping,mapping,and other types of mapping,mainly using the method of literal translation and liberal translation,form metaphors,retain metaphors,keep some metaphors;The function of literal translation is to express more directly,so that the translation readers can easily and intuitively understand the characters in the novel.The metaphors of Birds and Animals are divided Into three aspects: the mapping of Character,the Mapping of Appearance and The mapping of Behavior Characteristics.There are three forms of expression: reserved metaphor,transformed metaphor and no metaphor.In the translation of insect metaphor,literal translation,free translation,provincial translation and substitution are adopted.Saving translation can give the translation readers imagination space and enhance the vitality of the novel.The reason for the use of free translation is that there is no direct corresponding form in uygur language,and the animal metaphor described in the original works can be better expressed through free translation.Substitution method used in the primitive animals there is no corresponding expressions in the target language or more appropriate expression in the target language,if use literal translation and liberal translation,is not to express the meaning of the original author wants to convey,and in the uygur language,are suitable animal image to replace the original translated into uygur animal image,so replacing method is more suitable for the original express the meaning of the mapping of animal metaphors.
