The relationship between church and state is an important practical and theoretical issue concerning a national political system and people's spiritual world.The thesis takes the church-state relationship of the United States and Israel as a research object,and attempts to take history and reality as the main line within the framework of the type of church-state relationship and political-religious theory to explore the different reasons and influences in the formation of political and religious relations between the two countries,with from three perspectives: political rights perspective,political ideology perspective and political culture perspective.According to the research ideas,the main contents of the article are as follows:In order to make a background for the following comparative study,the first chapter of the thesis discusses the basis of the formation of church-state relations between the United States and Israel,as clearly as possible showing the type of countries that the founding fathers of the United States and Israel wanted to establish,and the situation that the two countries faced when they were founded.After expounding the background conditions,first,the thesis analyzes the differences of the relations between the two countries from the perspective of political rights,including the constitution,the election system and the polity.In other words,the second chapter mainly analyzes the important influence of the two countries' religion on the political system;then,the third chapter adopt the political ideology perspective to further analyze the relations between the two countries,including the religious classics and the basic literature,and highlights the ideological role of religion in the society.The political and cultural perspective is used to compare the church-state relations between the United States and Israel in the forth chapter.It mainly introduces citizens' views on religious participation,the influence of religious beliefs on citizens,and the influence of religious parties in both countries on political development.The main content of the thesis is composed of the contrast study of the three perspectives.A comparative analysis of church-state relations between the United States and Israel from three different perspectives will help to fully understand the different roles of church-state relations in the two countries,and to show the theme of the thesis more clearly.Finally,this thesis analyzes church-state relations in the two countries from the perspective of political theory,with the theory of comparative history and the theory of comparative politics,to judge the types of the church-state relations of the two countries,and analyzes their applicability in their own countries.To sum up,the purpose of the thesis is to explore the complexity of the causes and the diversity of the influence on the country through the comparative study of the relations between the two countries.
