The orchestra "Night On Bare Mountain" is a milestone in the Russian title symphony."Night On Bare Mountain" was written after many years of conceiving, creation and modification. However,Mussorgsky did not publish or perform it in public during his lifetime. The manuscript was edited and published by Rimsky Korsakov. This essay takes the version edited by Rimsky Korsakov(1886)as the research object;the orchestration technology is used as the research content.Start from the life and creations of the composer;the historical background and various versions of "Night On Bare Mountain";the analysis on the music form;the orchestration layout;the audio-visual orchestration characteristics;and the multiple layers of the bands using the foreground and background orchestration techniques,I'll use literature research;music case study;and enumeration method to clarify how composers use the most effective orchestration techniques to the work. The paper has four main chapters :the first chapter mainly introduces the life and composition of the composer, the background and multiple versions of "Night On Bare Mountain".The second chapter mainly analyzes the detailed layout of the work. The third chapter focuses on the analysis of diversified orchestration techniques around the different band-level processing techniques of the work. The fourth chapter mainly conducts the characteristic analysis and research from the perspective of "sound and picture style" orchestration thinking. The conclusion part mainly summarizes the application of the band's orchestration technology and "sound-and-picture" characteristic orchestration thinking of "Night On Bare Mountain" from the analysis and research of each chapter.
