Born in 1868 in Juzo,Burgundy,France,Edouard Vuillard(1868-1940)was one of the representative painters of the Nabi School of Paris Art Association in the late 19 th century.Villar is advancing in the upsurge of modern art,but he still keeps a certain degree of independence. His paintings have always been rooted in the scene of life, drawing inspiration and understanding from the familiar and plain life around him.In his early days,he was influenced by the comprehensive painting style of Gauguin, absorbed the idea of Symbolist poet Malai, and then inherited the pen and color in Monet's painting, enriched and perfected his own painting language form, thus forming his own artistic characteristics.Vyar integrates subjective emotion into his own artistic characteristics. He breaks the perspective relationship in traditional painting, forms a modern picture composition with a unique perspective of observation, subjectively simplifies and weakens the outline of the shape to blur it,and shows the main spirit from the gray tone picture, which is the embodiment of his artistic charm. Therefore, the emergence of Villar is not an accident.he is of great significance to enrich today's painting. This paper mainly focuses on the painting works of Villar, through the combination of his art background and art process, analyzes his exploration of painting, and then makes an in-depth study of the artistic characteristics and emotional expression formed in his painting, and deeply excavates the practical significance contained in his painting art.
