Subjective well-being refers to the happiness which takes the individual subjective judgment as the standard definition, namely the comprehensive evaluation made by the individual according to the standard of quality of his life set by himself. It is an important comprehensive index to measure of the individual life quality.Higher Education Institutions are the cradle of knowledge innovation, technology innovation and cultivating high-quality talents. And administration occupies an important position on each work of Higher Education Institutions. The particularity of its management activities, decided the management personnel plays an irreplaceable role in the colleges’reform and development. Now, along with the development of the higher education and the deeper research of the teaching system reform, Higher Education Institutions pay more attention on the increasingly demanding of the management personnel’s management ability and quality in the university. They faced with post assessment, teaching evaluation, position selection, life burden, ascendant space etc all kinds of problems, at the same time, and their working pressure is getting higher.Therefore, the thesis has done a research on the Subjective well-being of the university management and its related factors , and thus to improve the measures of the formation of Subjective well-being, to further improve the quality of life and guide them to make a greater contribution to higher education development and social progress.The research adopts the Satisfaction with Life Scale written by American psychologist Diener and the appendix (Comprehensive questionnaire of sense of happiness) of Happiness from Psychology’s Point of View written by professor Miao Yuanjiang. In addition, it also randomly selects 189 staff members of Shenyang Aerospace University to analyze and research their subject well-being.Firstly, the thesis introduces the internal and external actuality and research’s significance of Subjective well-being and explains the definition of Subjective well-being and analyzes the characteristics and relative theories of Subjective well-being. Secondly, it combines the practical conditions of SUA staff members to analyze the overall situation of their SWB. Among them, the managers’index of Subjective well-being is 3.72 considering as medium level. There are different effects in the demographic variables of sex, age, position and marriage to their Subjective well-being: managers of different ages have obviously different life satisfaction, positive affection and negative affection; managers of different sex have no obviously different Subjective well-being; managers in vice-office level have the lowest life satisfaction while the managers in the director level have the highest negative emotion; the married managers have higher positive emotion and lower negative emotion than unmarried managers. Then analyze the subjective well-being of management with 9 factors,such as their income, work status, interpersonal relationships, family life, living environment, health, psychological state, the cause of the target, the target of life. Finally, combine subjective well-being of management with the actual situation ,and improve the relevant strategies and recommendations of subjective well-being of management in the three aspects of society, schools and individuals.
