Free Rhythm

The emergence and rise of modern sculpture is inseparable from people's understanding of "freedom" of art.The direct metal sculpture,which has been widely introduced into teaching,is the reflection of art's "free" cognition through the attempt of "direct" language form and the use of "metal" materials.Direct metal sculpture is different from the human body beauty and realism of traditional sculpture on the shelf.It pays more attention to the material characteristics and its rhythm throughout,and correctly understands the characteristics of metal materials,which has great guiding significance for the creation techniques of direct metal sculpture.The final aesthetic feeling of its works is also the content to be discussed in this paper.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part describes the research background,significance,research ideas and methods.The second part takes the development of modern sculpture as the background,combs the concept of direct metal sculpture,and summarizes the expression of free rhythm in the creation of direct metal sculpture with the understanding of art aesthetics.The third and fourth part combined with the domestic and foreign cases and the specific practice of individuals in the direct metal sculpture creation,to carry out the practice and summary of personal creation.The fifth part is the current situation analysis and future development discussion.
