In the 1840 s,Britain completed the industrial revolution,in the wave of industrialization,the traditional social structure has changed,gradually breaking down the traditional pyramid society,the new bourgeoisie began to come onto the political stage.By the middle and late 19 th century,the liberal party representing the bourgeoisie had been in power for a long time and carried out the policy of Laissez-faire,which became the main feature of British political and economic life in this period.It fully reflected the development of British industrial capitalism and the enhancement of the political and economic strength of the bourgeoisie.They began to occupy the vast majority of seats in parliament,and then they grasped the state power and bourgeois democracy politics has been fully developed.However,during the transformation period of society,political corruption also began to spread,and began to flood in the middle and late period.A series of political corruption,including electoral fraud,honor trafficking,and local municipal corruption,brought serious harm to society.Through the analysis of the reasons for the emergence of political corruption in the middle and late 19 th century,as well as the targetedmeasures taken by the British government,we can learn from the experience and hope to make a systematic and comprehensive analysis of this issue.
