Since the 21 st century,globalization and the concept of the global village have been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,and cross-cultural communication has gradually become an indispensable part of people.With the steady development of Chinese international promotion,the research on cultural teaching has received extensive attention.There have been a certain number of research results in th e academic world,but there is also huge research space,especially in combination with specific Chinese international promotion platforms or institutions.The research on collection and analysis has not been officially published.This study mainly uses case analysis and interviews,firstly consults the theoretical knowledge related to the topic,then organizes cases according to individual teaching experiences,classifies the cases,and finally give some suggestions according to my own teaching experience.Since the study is aimed at American or American-based international students.It mainly reflects the cultural differences between China and the U.S.,I hope the results can contribute to Chinese teaching and Chinese international promotion..The article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,summarizing the research background,purpose,research significance,research ideas,methods,the concept of "negative cultural transfer" and research status in Chinese and abroad.The second part is based on the teaching cases recorded by the author or interviewed,and analyzes the reasons for the “negative cultural transfer” of Chinese teaching.The third part analyzes the influence of cultural negative transfer on Chinese culture teaching from two aspects: classroom subject and classroom elements.The fourth part briefly describes the basic situation of Chinese teaching and culture teaching at Confucius Institute at Colorado State University,and summarizes the shortcomings in cultural teaching.The fifth part puts forward suggestions on overcoming the cultural negative transfer in Chinese culture teaching from three aspects: teachers,learners and education departments,in order to optimize the teaching of Chinese language and culture in the Confucius Institute of Colorado State University.
