The Graphic Design Strategies In Exhibition Information Transmission Of Memorial Halls

Patriotism education occupies an important position in Chinese cultural system.In the context of promoting national culture and spirit,the memorial halls,as one of the main positions of cultural transmission,play an important role in the improvement of the cultural system.In recent years,with strong support of Chinese government and the implementation of the free admission policy,the construction of the memorial halls has flourished and the audience visit rate has also achieved a major leap.Along with the development,we should profoundly know that the design of memorial halls is far from the goal of "show content through the history and reflect the spirit ".The reason is that the amount of information carried by graphic design occupies a large proportion of the entire exhibition content,and most designers are limited to two-dimensional consciousness.Only through simple design methods,the exhibition in memorial halls is more likely to be dull and stale,and the exhibition atmosphere tends to be uniform.However,with the development of technology,experience economy and visual culture,people's demands for aesthetics and visual impact becomes stronger,this kind of declarative graphic design is already at a slight disadvantage.Therefore,it is particularly important to make full use of the advantages of graphic design in the new era to effectively convey memorial exhibition information.This paper illustrates the practical application of graphic design in the exhibition of the memorial halls.It attempts to conduct research on the connotation and extension of graphic design,and liberate the graphic design from the original two-dimensional concept,re-examine the graphic design and the exhibition information of the memorial halls combined with the relevant methods.Through the theory of “graphic design as a breakthrough point for information communication” and examination of related methods of graphic design in memorial exhibition,and the example of Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games Exhibition Center project,this paper puts forward some specific methods in terms of graphic design,its reaction of space,and the combination with other medium.These methods have certain practical significance for realizing the effective communication of the memorial exhibition information.They also provide certain method guidance for current practitioners and some theoretical support to evade and solve related problems in the exhibition design of the memorial halls in the future.
