Effects Of Character Interviews On The Character Documentary

With the development of the era and technology,the creative techniques and forms of documentary are constantly improving.As an important classification in the documentary,the character documentary develops from the early political theme to the present a wide variety of themes,showing the different characters of different classes and different ages to the society,and becoming more mature with the prosperity of the documentary.In the creative process of the current documentary,the use of character interviews is extensive,which plays an important role in the whole film in improving the sense of communication in the documentary,building the structure of the narrative development,sublimating the theme,covering the lack of camera lens,and enhancing persuasiveness.This thesis takes the relevant theories of the character interviews as the core point,reviews the relevant literature and materials of the predecessors and scholars on this kind of problem,and combines the experience in the process of creating the graduation work "Opera Girl" to analyze the role played by character interviews for the character documentary and to rethink the possible limitations of the interviews and the deficiencies in this creation.This thesis intends to inspire the concept of character interviews in the character documentary by exploring these issues.
