Elaboration On The Creation Of Character Documentary "Originality · Charm Of Clay"

As with the scientific and technological development in the material world,human beings’ living standard have improved,simultaneously,human beings’ artistic accomplishment and appreciation level have increased too,so it requires the audience to increase their requirement for documentaries content and creation skill.In recent years,as with the humanism thought that has been deeply rooted among the people,the creation of documentary has attached more great importance to the people.The characters have gradually become the subject in the documentaries,and the personage documentaries have taken the main position of the documentary creation.The personage documentaries take the people as the subject of expression to record the anger,sorrow,pursuit of life among the people in the real life and tell the story of the characters with audio-visual language.It is a documentary form in which the social realities are reflected by the fate of the characters and cause,so as to make the audience to think about their life.With the expansion of market demand and the dramatic increase in the production of personage documentaries,it is increasingly urgent to explore and research on personage documentaries.In the author’s graduation works,“Originality ·Charm of Clay”,a post-90 s girl named Gong Ke is the subject.With a clue of the girl’s creation process,the documentary’s structural form is total fractional structure.It tells a story that she gave up her permanent job and devoted herself to the creation of sculpture of pottery clay,showing the progress of the protagonist’s craftsmanship and psychological maturity and the character’s spirit of dedication to the art.It shapes an image of a young assiduous and excelsior craftsman who loves traditional culture and the craftsmanship,manifesting the sense of responsibility and the mission of the new generation of young people to inherit the spirit of craftsman,so that it expresses the love and obsession with traditional culture among the post-90 s young people.In this paper,the creation process and creation methods of graduation works are briefly described,and as an example,the works is to study and discuss personage documentaries’ creation methods through images shaping of characters,audio-visual language,etc.
