Research On The Value Composition Of Graffiti Art

The paper analyzes the development of graffiti art at home and abroad,classifies and studies the creation conditions,causes,as well as the social and cultural significance of graffiti art in Western culture,specifically the expression form and the composition of economic and artistic value of graffiti,through field investigations in art and cultural areas.The purpose of the study is to transfer the research depth of graffiti from the superficial symbolic features to the deeper value orientation through the analysis and summary of the above phenomena,allowing more people to understand and appreciate graffiti art as an artistic expression.Graffiti art,which originated from the West,has profound ideological and cultural connotation in the post-modernist trend of thought,with the strong political color and rebellious spirit.It originated from the streets,and tends to be popularized from person to person.Graffiti is a representative of lower-class art and culture.Compared with other art forms,the pure visual impact of it is more widely used in various fields,such as modern life and art design,including as well as on variant products that appear in public areas,fashion design,commercial brands,and daily necessities,etc.The commodity culture has infiltrated into every aspect of people's daily consumption.This thesis is focused on the origin and development of graffiti art in the Western world.In its detailed arguments,the thesis starts from the graffiti art in New York and on the Berlin Wall and analyzed the origin of graffiti from the perspective of Western social structure.The thesis also uses the development of art zones in China and the auction of graffiti works as examples to illustrate the economic value,as well as the commercial operation,of graffiti art in the new century.The external expression and content of graffiti art are not only unique but also able to completely subvert the artists' cognition of traditional norms and artistic techniques.The grassroot characteristics of graffiti art help to spread this popular art form into public areas.Art districts and large outdoor carriers are the perfect places to paint graffiti.Diversified types and expressions of graffiti make it an art form of unique artistic and invite more people to participate in the creation.Graffiti art has risen rapidly and spread from Western culture to Chinese culture,but due to the special creation conditions of graffiti art.The Easterners and the Westerners have different culture and aesthetic orientations.This thesis put forward the development trend and the limitations of graffiti art in China in the new century,and the author also elaborated his ideas.In the process of writing,the author visited the major art districts,art streets,and other areas which boasts plenty of graffiti in China.For instance,the author visited the 798 Art District,theHuangjueping Art Street,the Yinghuadong Street in Chaoyang District,and Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts.The author tried many tools and modern materials to paint graffiti.It is hoped that this paper can provide the public with a better understanding of graffiti art,promote diversified development of artistic forms,and give more possibilities for the development of graffiti art.
