On William Shaw's Analytic Philosophical Interpretation Of Historical Materialism

With the increasingly important role of scienceand technology in economic and social development,it has aroused the attention of many scholars in the academic community,especially the analysis Marxism,one of the Western Marxist schools.It emerged in the 1970 s,and was interpreted using analytical philosophy.Marx's theory has put forward many innovative understandings.Among them,William Shaw,a representative of the genre,explained the "technical determinism" of Marx's historical materialism,and he himself considered that he had a historical materialism of Marx.The understanding of doctrine is the most faithful to Marx's original intention.Nowadays,a holistic dialectical analysis of William Shaw 's opinion can allow us to objectively grasp the theoretical and practical value of his opinion,and it can also make us notice that we should pay attention to the interpretation of Marx 's historical materialism theory.Avoid some theoretical limitations.This article consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.First of all,the introduction is to introduce the research of Marx's historical materialism using the methodology of analytical philosophy in the context of WesternAnalytical Marxism.The main body contains three chapters.The first chapter is mainly on William Shaw 's methodology and the source of his thoughts on historical materialism.He followed the analytical approach of the analytical school and the theoretical limitations of traditional humanistic studies of Marxism.The ideological background of the ideological trend of "technical determinism" in the western Neo-Marxism of the 20 th century.The second chapter explores the content of William Shaw 's historical materialism theory.Based on experience,he meticulously and accurately explains the concepts of productive forces and production relations,and the dialectical relationship between the two.The nature is the "technical determinism" point of view,and the meaning of "technical determinism" is analyzed.The third chapter is an objective dialectical evaluation of William Shaw's "technical determinism" historical materialism theory.He believes that he has certain limitations in theory and simply equates Marx's theory of technology with "technical determinism."
