With the development of technology, people's social and communication activities has gradually shifted from offline to online. As the main force of the social media use, college students, especially the inappropriate use of mobile social media, have gradually been labeled as "phubbing","smart phone guy","thumb-tribe" and other tags related to Problematic Smartphone Use(PSU),which also bring a lot of physiological and psychological problems. As an important predictor of PSU,FoMO refers to an anxiety state caused by the individual's fear about being absent from others experience meaningful events or failed to know it in time.It is mainly manifested by the individual's desire to keep in touch with others at all times,so he or she will continue to use social networks. Therefore,in order to avoid and improve the various negative effects caused by problematic smartphone use behavior of young people in the new era,it is necessary to conduct further research on the mechanism of missing fear and behavior to cure "smart phone dependence".In this context, this study combines questionnaire method and experimental method to explore the relationship between college students' FoMO and PSU,Personality,as well as the characteristics of attention bias of the level of FoMO to network social words and interpersonal evaluation words.Research one: Questionnaire survey is used to investigate the network behavior of university students in Kunming city. The FoMO scale, the Problematic Social Media Use scale and the Neuroticism Extraversion Openness Five-Factor Inventory(NEO-FFI)were used to measure the personality characteristics of college students, the level of FoMO and the severity of PSU.Research two explores the influence of the level of FoMO on the attention bias of college students with two different experiments.one experiment using the dot probe task paradigm and the two-factor mixed experimental design of 2(level of FoMO: high group, low group)×2(word type: network social words, neutral words),to explore college students FoMO level of attention bias to the influence of social networking word. The other used the modified Stroop task,by conducting 2(FoMO level: high group, low group)x 3(word types: positive interpersonal evaluation, interpersonal evaluation term negative, neutral)of the two factors mixed experimental design, explores students FoMO level in social networking environment on the influence of different types of interpersonal evaluation word attention bias. The results are as follows:Based on research I :(1)The level of college students' FoMO is significantly different in demographic variables;(2)The FoMO level can significantly and positively predict the degree of college students' PSU;(3)Neuroticism can positively predict college students' FoMO;(4)Under the mediating effect of FoMO,the influence of conscientious and agreeableness personality traits on the PSU of college students reached a significant level.Based on research 2 :(1)The level of college students' FoMO is one of the reasons for their attention to network social words. The higher the level of FoMO is,the more individuals are inclined to participate in social activities.(2)College students with high FoMO have attention bias to negative evaluation.(3)individuals with low FoMO may produce behaviors with high FoMO level under the action of emotional induction.
