Creative Features And Performance Interpretation Of Piano Poem Metopes By Szymanowski

Karol Maciej Szymanowski(1982-1937)is a famous pianist and composer in Poland in the 20 th century,who made an important contribution to the development of Polish national music.Influenced by romantic music in the 19 th century,impressionist music in the 20 th century and Polish national music,he created a large number of piano music,symphonies,operas and other music works,pushing Polish music to a new height.Metopes belongs to the music works that he created in the middle period.This work is based on the traditional composition technique of the musical structure.It takes the ancient Greek mythology Odyssey as the background,and makes the music theme,tonal layout and harmonic color of the work more abundant by using the eight tone scale,high stacked chord and other creation techniques.It owns the typical characteristics and style of music in the 20 th century.This paper is divided into four chapters,the first chapter is the introduction,which explains the reason and significance of choosing this topic,and analyzes the research status both in China and abroad.The second chapter introduces the brief of the music of the 20 th century,as well as the life of Szymanowski and the stages of creation of his piano works.In the third chapter,the author analyzes the creative features of the Metopes,discusses the 20 th century creative techniques used by Szymanowski in his works,and summarizes the creative background,musical structure,regular rhythm and changing rhythm,theme development techniques and theme motivation penetration,and the characteristics of tonality and harmony.The fourth chapter,combined with the creation features of the previous works,expounds the performance interpretation of the works from the macro and micro perspectives,analyzes the macro control of the whole works and each poem in the performance,combines the performance of regular rhythm and changing rhythm,the hierarchical effect display of theme motive development techniques in the performance,tonal performance analysis and harmony sound control,analysis of micro performance.This thesis explores a more reasonable way of playing through an in-depth analysis of Metopes,so that the work can be presented completely.At the same time,it is also a written summary opportunity for learning to play,which improves the performance level and provides some help for the follow-up study of the work.
