Li Nianci And His Study Of Poetry

Li Nianci,as one of the representatives of the poets in the early Qing dynasty,has excellent talents,profound knowledge,and superb poetry.He has created a lot of life,not only has a true portrayal of the inner world,but also cared about the national economy and people's livelihood,and exposed the social reality,and his accomplishments in poetics are quite high.This article analyzes Li Nianci and his poetry creation,collects and organizes relevant research materials,tries to understand the living conditions of the literati in the special political environment in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,and grasps the overview of poetry in the early Qing Dynasty.This article is composed of four parts: introduction,body,conclusion and appendix.The introduction section summarizes Li Nianci's research status,sorts out relevant research materials,and sorts out existing research results in the academic field,so as to determine the content of the topic and the significance of the research.The text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter analyzes his life experience by analyzing the poems.The second chapter focuses on the discussion of Li Nianci's friendship,and classifies his friends into three categories:relatives and friends in his hometown,the poor adherents of a former dynasty,friends of the officer.Some representatives are selected for discussion,and the interpretation of the friendship between the two parties will be used to show the characteristics of Li Nianci's personality and mental journey.The third chapter analyzes Li Nianci's poetic ideas.Firstly,it is stated that the concept of poetry is clearly formed in the inheritance of Guanzhong's poetry.Its poetic thoughts are reflected in four aspects.the first section is his firm stand in the dispute between Tang and Song poetry in the early Qing Dynasty,and his respect for Tang Yin.The second section is to advocate poetry to be sentimental and precious.The third section is to emphasize the social role of poetry,to be proactive and to support the times.The fourth section is to broaden the horizon and activate the thoughts and emotions with the help of rivers and mountains.The fourth chapter discusses the subject matter of Li Nianci's poetry and categorizes it into six categories: chronicle poems with the main content of homesickness and Li Yuan's worries,the military poetry chanting heroes and recording the war situation,poems for traveling depicting the water and mountains and record the scenery along the way,responsory poetry with the main content of farewells,gathering,sadness and congratulations,poetries chanting things with the main content of making use of objects to express ideas,and writing temperament,inscribed poems,the poetry in the painting,and the emotion of painting.The fifth chapter summarizes the artistic characteristics of Li Nianci's poetry creation,appreciating from four aspects: form,style,technique,and language.The poetry has all forms and the style of it is diverse,elegant,simple and generous.All of these increased the richness and artistry of poetry and we can find the true feelings in work stability and the strangeness in plainness from analysing the language.The sixth chapter discusses Li Nianci's prose creation,which is divided into five categories: preface and postscript,calligraphy,biography,mourning sacrifice and inscriptions.The prose style is flat and plain,the narration is simple and conveys the natural essence of the language.The conclusion part summarizes Li Nianci's poetry and creative achievements,thus affirming his literary value.The appendix not only compiles works outside Li Nianci's poems,but also compiles chronology compendiums to show his life clearly.
