Ethical Research On Confucian Sacrifice

Sacrifice is an important part of Confucian ritual activities,and ritual sacrifice is the core of Confucian ritual culture.Guided by the traditional Confucian sacrificial thought,Chinese traditional sacrificial culture has influenced and shaped the spiritual life of the Chinese nation.Confucian sacrificial activities have a long history,which reflects the spirit of human beings' unique worship of ghosts and gods,and reflects the humanistic meaning of attaching importance to moral order.On the basis of the sacrificial culture of Shang and Zhou dynasties,the Pre-Qin Confucians had a lot of discussions on the meaning,agenda and way of sacrificial rites,forming a complex theory and practice of sacrificial rites,and influencing and regulating the sacrificial activities in Chinese society since then.There are three sacrificial rites in Confucianism: sacrificing heaven and earth,sacrificing Zhuxian,sacrificing sages.Through offering sacrifices to heaven to express people's gratitude for the heaven's nourishing and nurturing of all things,and pray for the God's blessing;Chinese people have the tradition of being cautious and pursuing the future,and they will never forget to offer sacrifices to their ancestors during the festival;offering sacrifices to sages is mainly to offer sacrifices to the ancestors of the people and the industry gods of all walks of life.The ethical significance of Confucian sacrifice is shown in many aspects.First,sacrifice can effectively maintain the ethical principles of family respect.Confucian sacrifice ethics takes blood relationship as the link,emphasizes filial piety as the most fundamental social criterion,and then maintains the feudal patriarchal hierarchy.Secondly,sacrifice can effectively strengthen the moral emotion of being cautious about pursuing the future.The consciousness of sincerity,respect,ethics and filial piety in the funeral ceremony of Confucianism is to make people achieve the goal of "being cautious and pursuing the future".Thirdly,sacrifice can effectively improve the moral quality of sacrificial people.Sacrifice helps to cultivate the moral feelings of "filial piety",the spirit of sincerity and respect of the worshipers,and the social centripetal force and cohesion.Nowadays,there are rich folk culture based on the traditional sacrificial culture,such as the birth of various traditional festivals.In the network era,the form and content of sacrifice have changed a lot,and advocating civilized sacrifice has become the consensus of the people.We should be the practitioners and propagandists of civilized sacrifice and lead the new trend of sacrifice.At the same time,we should be committed to the modern transformation of the spiritual connotation of sacrifice.We should realize the modern rebirth of Confucian sacrifice through the reconstruction of the relationship between heaven worship and family,the integration of ancestor worship and new sacrifice,the transformation of memorial ceremony and Confucian education ideal.In a word,based on the theory and practice of sacrifice in ancient times,modern times and contemporary times,this paper combs the development and evolution of Confucian sacrifice,expounds the specific connotation and agenda of "three sacrifices" of Confucianism,i.e.sacrificing heaven and earth,ancestors and sages,and focuses on the exploration of the ethical significance that runs through it,so as to extend the modern value of Confucian sacrifice,especially the sacrifice,so as to lay a memorial ceremony for our ancestors First,the establishment of appropriate concepts and reasonable ways in the affairs of relatives,friends and heroes provides a certain theoretical reference.
