From Love Festivals To Media Rituals: Valentine's Imagination,Writing And Carnival

With the development of globalization,western culture was introduced into China and brought new blood to the traditional eastern culture.The two civilizations blended in the confrontation,and the "changing face" of folk festivals,the prevalence of western festivals is a typical feature.Since the 21 st century,western valentine's day has become a well-known festival in China.In order to revive traditional festivals,businesses and media have turned the traditional qixi festival into "Oriental valentine's day".A group of people on the Internet have created an online valentine's day and sparked a nationwide outpouring of love.At this point,western valentine's day,which represents western Christian culture,Chinese traditional culture,and cyber valentine's day,which represents contemporary cyber culture,all exist side by side and even tend to be consistent.In this paper,from the spread of the concept of ritual and symbolic interaction theory,carnival theory perspective,this paper studies the people through the medium of the masses of characterized by the culture symbol of valentine's day the construction of social reality,to the media and individual writing and expression of valentine's day are analyzed in the text,fine analysis from three kinds of valentine's day love festival into a media ritual process.Studies have found that western valentine's day,online valentine's day and qixi valentine's day have become a kind of entertainment game,a channel for people to express themselves and please themselves.Meanwhile,a ritual is emerging.With the beginning of valentine's day,people participate in this ceremony through the mass media,imagine,write and carnival,and feel the festival's view of love,consumption and the construction of cultural world.
