A Study On Conjunction Words That Connect The Adverbial And Headword

It is an indisputable fact that conjunction words can connect adverbial and central words.However,there are few thematic studies on this phenomenon.On the basis of summarizing the previous research results,through a large number of corpus surveys,According to the logical and semantic relations,several groups of typical conjunctions are selected as the objects of study.This paper makes a detailed description and analysis of this phenomenon from three aspects: syntactic features,semantic features and pragmatic functions,and strives to have a deeper understanding of the relationship between adverbial head words.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,the research status,significance and methods are introduced,and the research object is defined emphatically.The second,third,fourth and fifth chapters select the four most representative groups of related words——even if…,no matter…,unless…,even...all… to do the typical of concessions,unconditions,necessary conditions and progressive relations?From the perspective of syntax,the distribution of syntax and adverbial constituents are described in detail.From the perspective of semantics,the logical semantics and the semantics in practical use are analyzed.From the perspective of pragmatics,this paper makes an in-depth study of its use in actual conversation.Chapter six summarizes the research on this topic from the distribution and composition of adverbials,semantic relations and pragmatic functions.Basic conclusions of this paper:as far as the distribution and composition of adverbials are concerned,adverbials consist of prepositional phrases and a small number of nominal components.And the nature of adverbial is concerned,it belongs to peripheral adverbial and has strong flexibility,so it can be placed between subject and predicate or before subject.As far as semantic relations are concerned,four groups of typical connectives give the adverbial head concessions,unconditional,necessary and progressive logical semantic relations,respectively.The semantics are clearer and the meanings of sentences are richer.From a pragmatic point of view,when a connective word enters the head of a single conjunctive adverbial,the emphasis of pragmatic functions expressed by different logical and semantic connectives differs,but this is the result of the joint action of semantic implication and structural simplification.
