Benjamin,as a thinker with profound insight and sense of mission, has seen the duplicity and contradiction of modernity since the beginning of modernity. He saw the capitalism myth and commodity ruins constructed by the continuous circulation of novelty and eternity, capturing the shocking experience of the urban crowd and the resulting lack of experience,so he spent his entire life salving and saving fragments, which are abandoned by modernity but contain the original, hoping to reconstruct people's authentic experience, break the illusion, and return to the original. The Arcades Project of Benjamin is a study to criticize capitalist fetishism by showing dialectical images. It's the most brilliant but unfinished project which he had defended to the death. As one of the core images in Benjamin's Arcades Project,Fl(?)neur exemplifies Benjamin's ambition to represent the origin of modernity in 19 th century in Paris. The author intends to further explore Benjamin's modernity experience and modernity criticism by analyzing the origin,deformation,time-space experience of Fl(?)neur and its relationship with commodities and the crowds. This will give modern humans useful inspirations in such a consumer social context and urban experience. The introduction introduces Benjamin's personality, summarizes the research origin and research experience of the arcade project, and summarizes the research status of the Arcade Project at home and abroad.Based on the above, the author points out that understanding of the image of the Fl(?)neur is the key point on analyzing Benjamin. The first chapter explores the source of the image of the Fl(?)neur, analyzes the intertextuality and deformation characteristics of Fl(?)neur in the works of Allan Poe,Baudelaire and Benjamin, and deepens the understanding of the rich meaning of the Fl(?)neur in the text analysis. The focus of this chapter is that how Fl(?)neur, the elite who interprets the secret of the city becoming the artist who interprets the modernity, evolved into the modern hero at the bottom of society. The second chapter discusses the Fl(?)neur's urban experiences, which includes the spatial experience Fl(?)neur wandering in the 19 th century in Paris and special experiences of space blending inside and outside in Arcades,as well as the time experiences combined with ‘Aura' and ‘Shock' —— the concept of modernity experiences which are created by Benjamin. At the same time, this chapter is also to explore the psychological mechanism of ‘Shock',the relationship between loneliness and crowds, and to interpret dreams of Paris based on the commodity and novelty of Arcades in order to criticize fetishism. The focus of this chapter is to follow the footsteps of the Fl(?)neur and reveal the topographic map of Paris in the 19 th century and the modern urban experience in the footsteps of Fl(?)neur. In the third chapter,I focus on Benjamin's unique research methods and presentation modes.I will sort out the representation of star clusters, monad theory, dialectical images and the ways of text construction include metaphor and montage. Moreover, what counts is the analysis and interpretation of the tension in the image of Fl(?)neur as dialectical image. This chapter focuses on the generation and presentation of dialectical images and the connotation and significance of the Fl(?)neur as a dialectical image. The conclusion focuses on the poor and fragmented experience of modern experience, connects with Benjamin's thinking on modernity and critical redemption in the arcades project of Paris, and points out that the image of Fl(?)neur in Benjamin's works is of great enlightenment and far-reaching significance to modern people.
