There are a number of reasons for the delay in Chinese-led construction projects in Russia.Many Chinese companies are working on several projects and are often delayed due to minor errors,resulting in over-project costs that exceed the project's profitability.The aim of this thesis is to examine the impact of cultural differences on project delays in international project management.This study was conducted by baseline data collection;data were collected through a five-point Likert scale.The questionnaire for better understanding and related responses was broken down into sections that included cultural aspects of Hofsted and factors of project delays.All questions were answered by experts(clients,consultants and contractors)working on construction projects in Russia.SPSS version 21 is used to validate the factors using the Cronbach's alphabet,before further analysis,and all factors are at the recommended scale,i.e.,greater than 0.60.To determine the effect of delay,we examined the effect of each culture measure on project delays,so in this thesis,project delay is a dependent variable,and cultural dimensions are independent variables.The Findings of this study shows that cultural dimensions have a strong and significant impact on project delay.
