The Garlic Pot During Warring States To Han Dynasty

As a kind of pot style,garlic pot is named after the garlic shaped decorations on the pot mouth.It is a kind of utensil for holding wine or water,and its material is mainly pottery and copper.As a unique tool of Qin style,it is only buried in Qin people and the sites related to Qin people.In the past,there were few studies on garlic pot.With the publication of archaeological materials of garlic pot tombs unearthed in various places,it provides a rich material basis for the study of garlic pot.Based on the typology of 184 garlic kettles unearthed in the tombs,this paper discusses the standard morphological characteristics of garlic kettles,the changes in the time sequence of garlic kettles and the differences in the spatial distribution of garlic kettles.This paper is divided into four parts:the introduction part briefly introduces the reason and significance of the topic,defines the research scope,and arranges the research status of garlic pot.In the second part,the garlic pot is divided into two types according to the material,and the typology research is carried out respectively.According to the difference of ampulla shape,copper garlic pot can be divided into three types:round belly,vertical flat belly and elliptical flat belly.The standard form of garlic pot and the change of the time sequence of the standard form were studied.The third part studies the regional distribution characteristics of garlic pot,and analyzes the regional distribution characteristics and morphological characteristics of garlic pot in different periods.In the fourth part,the author studies the unearthed garlic pot tombs,analyzes the combination of tombs and discusses the identity of the tomb owner.In the fifth part,the article discusses the similar utensils with the garlic pot,combining with the research of the second part of this paper.
