A Study On The Musical Characteristics And Playing Techniques Of The Bamboo Flute Suite "Grassland Lyricism"

The bamboo flute suite "Grassland Lyricism" was composed by two bamboo flute performers,Mr.Ning Baosheng and Mr.Li Zhen.It was finalized in 1996.The whole song is divided into four movements: morning melody,herding,love song and late return.It's about 17 minutes.It is now included in Mr.Li Zhen's album "Zou Xi Kou".Since the advent of the works,by the country,especially in Inner Mongolia bamboo flute players and the favour of flute music lovers,as many professional bamboo flute music colleges students required repertoire,and has repeatedly won the prize,is the Mongolian music style in bamboo flute work a classic in the history of performance,is also one of the important representative works of "grassland bamboo flute school".This paper is divided into three chapters: introduction part mainly reflects the thesis topic,research related situation and work brief;The first chapter studies the structure of the work from two aspects:the form structure and the division of sentence structure.The second chapter focuses on the application of Mongolian music elements in the melody of the work.Chapter three explains and summarizes the playing techniques of the music from three aspects: breath control,finger skills and tonality skills.It is expected to provide reference for the creation and performance of bamboo flute works with Mongolian music style,thus promoting the inheritance,innovation and development of "grassland bamboo flute school".
