Eco-feminism is a product of the combination of woman's liberation movement and the ecological movement.It is not only one of the important schools of feminist research,but also one of the prominent schools of ecological philosophy.According to the theory that women have the ability of understanding and takes care of nature,and opposes the male oppression of women and destruction of nature under the patriarchy system.Eco-feminism calls against all oppression and believes that the liberation of women and the liberation of nature are closely connected.It mainly opposes the anthropocentric theory,insists on decentralization,actively promotes ethical values of love,care and justice;emphasizes that people and nature should live in harmony to maintain ecological balance and sustainable development.This paper uses Eco-feminist theory to interpret Virginia Woolf's famous work Orlando.According to the core view of Eco-feminism,this article deeply analyzes the unequal gender relations such as exploitation and oppression in the male-dominated society and the relationship between humans and nature.At the same time,it discusses how to realize the balance and harmony between man and woman,as well as human and nature.The first part of this paper mainly introduces Woolf's experience and main works,the main content of Orlando.And the origin and development of Eco-feminism,the main viewpoints of Eco-feminism.The second part of the thesis focuses on the domestic and foreign research status of Orlando and the theory of Eco-feminism,and points out the significance of analyzing this work from the perspective of Eco-feminism.The third part studies the women and nature as the Other in Orlando from the perspective of ecological feminist theory,analyzes the oppression of women and nature in the male-dominated society,and reveals the close connection between nature andwomen in the work.The fourth part from the perspective of ecological feminism,deconstruct the subordinate status of women and nature as the Other in the patriarchal society.Finally,based on the idea of ecological feminism,this paper explores how to achieve the balance and harmony between men and women and between man and nature in Orlando.Reveal the importance of establishing a harmonious coexistence between man and nature,and the equal dialogue between men and women for social development.This paper takes ecological feminist criticism as the theoretical basis,re-examines Virginia Woolf's Orlando from the perspective of ecological feminism,and connects the destruction of industrial civilization to nature and the suppression of patriarchy.And explain the silence between women and nature in a male-dominated society.Through in-depth analysis of Orlando's experience,in the process of integration with nature,Orlando's female consciousness gradually awakened,and then boldly pursued the self-liberation,and finally gained her own rebirth.
