This paper takes the ancient Jian Lake in the Shankuai plain of Shaoxing,Zhejiang Province as the research clue, mainly uses the research methods of history and geography.Through a large number of interpretations of local chronicles and academic research results,it mainly studies the relationship between the changes of water system and the rural grass-roots administrative organizations in the south of the Shankuai plain from the following aspects:The first part goes straight to the topic.First of all,the historical Amade by senior experts and scholars, the author puts forward his own point of view, that the situation of the lacustrine margin and the lake area of Jian Lake recorded in historical materials is different from the lake area situation of Jian Lake restored on the geological survey today.there is still space for further research on this issue. The second part studies the annihilation issue of Jian Lake. After the annihilation of the ancient Jian lake, there have been some quite different opinions on whether it should be restored and can be restored in both the Southern Song Dynasty and the contemporary era. After analyzing previous research perspectives, the author finds out that views on the capacity and area of the ancient Jian Lake are different, which is the main cause of the different opinions mentioned above.Although the annihilation of Jian Lake did cause a considerable negative impact, due to the growth of population, the increasingly prominent contradiction among local people and other reasons,it is impossible to restore Jian Lake. The third part studies the rural grass-roots administrative organizations of Shanyin and Kuaiji in the period from Song Dynasty to Ming Dynasty.Through the textual research and restoration of the distribution areas of the rural grass-roots administrative organizations in Shanyin and Kuaiji counties from the early SouthernSong Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty,as well as the population growth of the two counties, the author confirms the fact that the lake area of Jian Lake has been completely reclaimed since the early Southern Song Dynasty. And it is further inferred that around the lake area of the ancient Jian Lake there was a large population in the early Southern Song Dynasty. The government also acquiesced to this fact and set up corresponding rural grass-roots administrative organizations. The author hopes that the research in this thesis can provide reference and help for later studies.
