During the War, rural grassroots members lived in a very complex situation. As the development condition of these party members was different, the quality of them was differ too. So, when they lived in a violent changed environment, they often have a spectacular performance. These choices not only just mirrored their real attitudes to CCP, but also the influences from the CCP to what extent.During the Anti-Japanese War, Changzhi Country in Shanxi, as for its special geographical position, has been a fierce region competed by the Japanese troops, KMT and CCP. Rural party members of CCP. In the early days of the war of resistance, for the weak of primary party organizations and the require of establishing base areas, CCP constantly made instructions to vast development party. Grass-roots party organizations taken the chances to made a drastic development, but also resulted in a series of problems. Under the pressure from the superior, grass-roots cadres often made no attention about Party member's assessments, and this lead to'press-gang' phenomenon. It made the quality of the members varied, and this kinds of problem has been realized as the important results of why the'Jin-West incident'made big loss to the CCP. For these problems, CCP has launched Rectification Movement in Shanxi in different places. Changzhi county, as in the enemy-occupied areas, the Rectification Movement launched latter than other places in Shanxi. But during the 1943 and 1945, the party organizations in Changzhi county did reorganized their grass-roots members more than once, and obtained certain effects. But the illnesses from the grass-roots party members will not despair. A short time later, accompany with other kinds of movements or the right circumstances, these illnesses will followed.
