Public-Private Partnership Success and Failure Factors for In-transition Countries is the representative work of Paolo Urio. The book consists of three major parts and nine chapters. The researcher of this thesis is assigned to translate the second section of the sixth chapter of the second major part and ends with the seventh chapter. The thesis studies four steps of translation shown in Chinese version of PublicPrivate Partnership Success and Failure Factors for In-transition Countries from hermeneutic perspective. It illustrates multiple examples from the translated version to analyze the role of four steps of translation played in the translation process. The thesis also analyzes the various translation strategies used in different steps of translation and their impact on the translation.Under the Guidance of Hermeneutics, the thesis finds that the Chinese version of Public-Private Partnership Success and Failure Factors for In-transition Countries, despite some minor mistakes, has basically achieved the goal of accuracy and smoothness. The translator hopes that this translation report can provide useful reference for other translation practitioners and also accumulate translating experience for the translator's own future career.
