Research Of Camille Corot’s Portraits

Camille Corot is the most outstanding landscape painter in France’s 19 th century,but also a first-class portrait and human figure painting master.Corot ’s portraits have rich and thick,rich and humble artistic characteristics,breaking through the previous visual experience,broadening the expression of oil painting language,so it has important research value.This paper is divided into three chapters,the first chapter combined with the life of the painter to tell the background of the creation of Corot ’s portraits.The second chapter is the main chapter of this paper,expatiates the unique painting language of Corot ’s portrait,including its partial classicism,the more idealized modelling characteristic;has the strong light and the soft cohesion mold technique;the texture and the brushstroke characteristic;and the Corot ’s portrait works characteristic does not pursue the complete degree painting idea.The third chapter is about the important influence of Corot ’s art on Barbizon and Impressionist painters.Combined with the background of the painter’s life,the influence of classicism on Corot leads to the argument,which ends with the influence of Colo on impressionism,and focuses on the artistic characteristics and creative methods of Corot ’s portrait works.
