"Feast",namely a banquet together drink,is a kind of entertainment,social secular activities.feast poems and feast pictures are the artistic forms that artist describes and records the feast activities,both of them have a long history.By the Song Dynasty,they had entered an unprecedented stage of prosperity,which inevitably had profound political,economic and cultural reasons.In terms of politics and economy,the reform of imperial examination system provided the literati with a rich foundation for their enjoyment,and the rapid rise of the urban economy also enabled citizens actively participate in enjoyment;In terms of culture,the innovation of the Song poetry "taking the vulgar as the elegant" promoted the development of the feast poems,and the painting academy also played a positive role in promoting the feast pictures.Therefore,the feast poems and the feast pictures all flourished in the Song Dynasty.A deep study of Song people's feast activities from the feast poems and the feast pictures in the Song Dynasty,it can be divided into three types: court feast,folk feast and elegant feast.The court feast is mainly the feast activities centered on emperors,among which there are the "grand feast" with political etiquette and the "qu feast" with strong humanistic color;The folk feast is mainly the feast of common people,and the popularity of the Song people's feast can be seen from countless restaurants,tea houses and food stores in the market.At the same time,the emergence of "kaifang feast" in folk had a deep origin with the prevailing "Neo-Confucianism" at that time;The elegant feast is a special feast activity based on the literati group.The literati were the main body of feast activities in Song Dynasty,their pursuit of pleasure and attention to social interactions resulted in frequent feasts,which often combined exquisite material enjoyment,rich artistic atmosphere and obscure political disturbance.In addition,there are both similarities and differences between the feast poems and the feast pictures.They are compared from the following three aspects: the author's identity;the narrative features;the emotional connotations.It is hoped through these comparisons will further restore the true feast life of the Song people,and enable readers appreciate the differences between different artistic forms in expressing the same theme and the implicit similarities between them.
